KNITTING

The First, the Second and the Cliff Furlongs of the East Laine have now been completed and seem to fit together well.

FIRST THREE FURLONGS FINISHED
Although Sophie had done quite a bit of the Third Furlong at the Dome, when we measured it against the master pattern it was a little too narrow. Sadly it had to be undone and restarted but I took a photo of it first...

Rachel, the group's newest member, has gamely volunteered to re-knit it and has taken away all the yarn and the pattern.

We only have 5 more squares to go for the blanket we're knitting for the Stanmer Rual Museum.
Also we came very close to having a venue to carry on knitting the map in the centre of Brighton for British Wool Week, 15 - 21 October.

Sadly we fell at the last hurdle but we haven't given up hope that we might yet find a suitable space later in the year.
